Presidential Commission on Election Administration Seeks Public Comment at Hearing in Cincinnati

Agenda for 20 Sep (pdf)

A White House commission is coming to Ohio later this month to study how to improve our nations elections after lengthy wait times were reported in the 2012 election. The Commission is seeking input from election officials, voter advocates, and most importantly, Ohio voters, on a variety of topics ranging from long lines to registration errors to poll worker training. Ohios hearing is scheduled for September 20 at Cincinnatis Duke Energy Convention Center.

The President's Commission on Election Administration selected Ohio, among just three other states in which to hold public hearings. The morning session will feature panels from election officials. During the afternoon session the public will be invited to provide comments to the Commission. In order for the Commission to make truly informed recommendations to the President, it is critical that the Commission hears directly from voters about their experiences at the polls.

If you are unable to attend the hearing in person, you may still submit your comments to the Commission online. Visit www.supportthevoter.gov and select Public Comments.
